1.
Pick your season and your dates. What fills you with wonder and joy, or what season is your favorite sport played in? Whether you choose snowy backgrounds, fall colors, spring flowers, summer, or the comfort of your own home in any season, your season should say a lot about who you are and determine what dates you want to book.
2.
Book your shoot 2-3 months in advance, and let RP take care of booking a hair and makeup appointment for you so you look your absolute best the day of the shoot. Professional grade makeup is created to be used for photography and film. The hair products and styling process eliminate friz and keep your hair from frizzing and your curl from falling out.
3.
Review skincare and styling tips sent by RP. Taking care of breakouts properly can really improve your confidence on the day of a shoot. Don't worry, blemishes can be edited but good skin care can really help you shine in your photos. Pick outfits that show your style, down to the very socks or leggings (mismatched socks are not a good look). Most shoots can have an outfit change, so you can pick a casual and dressy, or even sporty look. When we talk, I can talk through what outfits might photograph well on you.
4.
Get plenty of rest the night before your shoot, and come relaxed and ready to have fun. We'll spend a couple of hours getting you the shots and looks you want. You may want to bring some water and a non-messy snack so you can refresh your smile between outfit changes.
5.
Sit down with RP the same week as your shoot to review your proofs and give feedback for edits -- what are your favorite looks and expressions? What cosmetic changes might you like to have made?
6.
Within two weeks of your shoot, book an ordering appointment to turn some of your digital images into keepsakes for your wall, party invitations, thank you cards, gifts for friends and relatives for Christmas, etc.
